Orbitz, an online travel agency recently released their top ten list of booming Beach Destinations in the United States.
Here they are:
1. Maui, HI
2. Daytona Beach, FL
3. Kailua-Kona (Big Island), HI
4. Key West, FL
5. San Diego, CA
6. Charleston, SC
7. Fort Lauderdale/Miami FL
8. Sarasota, FL
9. Santa Monica, CA
10. Fort Myers, FL
All of these beaches were rated as “booming” based on the percentage growth in hotel bookings on Orbitz.com from 2005 - 2008, during the period 12/21 - 2/28. Bookings for each year made as of 12/19.
