Southwest Airlines recently announced the addition (and deletion) of flights to their itineraries.

Beginning on May 10, 2008 they are adding 40 new roundtrip flights to key destinations like Denver and eliminating 57 flights from their roundtrip schedule.

“Southwest is intent on strategically changing its flight schedule in 2008 to reflect demand and grow revenue — even adding seasonal flights when we can,” Kelly said. “We’ve improved our boarding procedures and updated our gate areas to make our Customers more productive, and we look forward to 2008 as being one of the most productive yet for Southwest Airlines.”

To celebrate the upcoming changes, Southwest Airlines also announced a travel sale with flights available for as low as $79.00 in some markets.
