Good news for anyone with plans to stay at Pala Mesa Golf Resort in San Diego County. The resort has re-opened after being evacuated due to wildfires. During the emergency, it was used as a base camp for 800 emergency officials and firefighters.

“As soon as we were given permission, our staff returned to thoroughly clean and quickly bring the Pala Mesa Golf Resort back to our historic ‘four- star’ physical condition,” said Jeff McIntyre, Gemstone principal. “Like everyone else, we are anxious to return to ‘business-as-usual,’ which is evidenced by the fact that we are fully booked for the coming weekend, most of our tee times are reserved and we even have several weddings set to take place as scheduled.”

Though all guests are welcome to return this weekend, the hotel is waiving cancellation fees for anyone unable to keep their reservations through the next 7 days. “Obviously, numerous people were affected by these tragic fires. If in any small way we can help to make their lives easier, we gladly will cancel reservations without the usual fees.”

The Pala Mesa Golf Resort is located in Fallbrook, California and is situated on 205 acres, including an 18 hole/par 72 golf course that has a three and a half star ranking from Golf Digest.
