If your family happens to be in Florida over the upcoming Easter holiday you can take part in the
“World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt” taking place at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven.
Cypress Gardens is hoping to beat the Guiness World Record for an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1, 2007. It begins at 3 PM.
The egg hunt will feature thousands of goody-filled eggs hidden in the lawn of Magnolia Mansion, throughout the Topiary Garden and into the grassy banks of the ski show area. Though most are filled with candy and toys, some contain prizes donated by local businesses and one lucky egg holds a two-year scholarship to Polk County Community College.
The egg hunt is divided into three age groups — 0-4 years, 5-9 years and 10-14 years. There is no limit to how many eggs can be collected, however children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is included in park admission.
