A Florida vacation will rejuvenate just about anyone. The Sunshine State is a great place to vacation and there no shortages of things that visitors can do. Here are some ideas for your Florida vacation.
Spend some time at the beach. Florida has miles of beaches to get a little rest and relaxation. Enjoy some sun at the beach. Sanibel Island is one beach destination that’s noted for the abundance of seashells. Another top beach destination is South Beach.
Visit theme parks There are many popular theme parks in Florida. Most of them are located in Orlando. Visit Sea World, Walt Disney World, The Epcot Center or plan ahead to be one of the first guests at Sea World’s new waterpark, Aquatica opening in 2008. All of these themeparks are great fun for the entire family.
Plan a fishing excursion. Spend a few hours trying to reel in “the big one.” Charter fishing boats make it easy for a tourist to try his hand deep sea fishing without having to invest a lot of money in fishing gear. Many charter boats offer morning, afternoon and all day fishing tours.
Plan a visit to the Kennedy Space Center Want to learn something while you visit Florida? Consider visiting Cape Canaveral, the home of the Kennedy Space Center. You might even get to meet an astronaut!
Visit the Keys Located at the very edge of Florida is the “Keys”, a chain of small islands that are captivating to see.
