Farewell To The Stardust Hotel In Las Vegas
March 13, 2007 – 2:25 pmIt’s time has come and went. The Stardust hotel in Las Vegas has been imploded and all that’s left behind is a pile of rubble.

The iconic Stardust sign has went dim after 50 years of service.
The famed casino and hotel was imploded this week to make way for a new resort and casino being built by Boyd’s Gaming. The new resort will be called the Echelon and will cost an estimated 4.4 billion to build. The Echelon is scheduled to open in late 2010 and will have 5,000 guest rooms, a production theater, a shopping mall and over a million square feet of meeting space.
It definitely seems like an end of an era to me and a sad day for the Las Vegas Strip.
