Aquaventure Has Opened At Atlantis Resort, Bahamas
March 4, 2007 – 9:32 amLooking for a great waterpark to compliment your stay on Paradise Island in the Bahamas?

Then the Atlantis has the waterpark for you. The 63 acre waterpark, called “Aquaventure” just opened on March 2, 2007 and features water slides, a mile long river ride that features rapids and wave surges for realistic fun. The new waterpark holds over 20 million gallons of water, all told.
The Power Tower is a waterslide that is 120 feet tall and offers four distinctly different waterslides.
The Abyss - an exhilarating body slide where guests drop a near vertical 50 feet into total darkness, through a tumbling waterfall finishing in a deep cenote filled with menacing Alligator Gars.
The Drop, The Falls and The Surge - these three inner tube slides use “master-blaster” technology, creating roller coasters from jets of water that propel riders up and downhill at a fast pace.
All of this sounds like great fun in the land of the Bahamas. The weather and the water are lovely.
