Vacation Checklist
February 17, 2007 – 1:47 pmGoing on a vacation? Have you thought of everything you need to take and everything that has to be done before you go? If not, here’s a handy checklist to keep in mind. The list is more complicate when you visit a foreign country, but even domestic trips can end up with you or something valuable forgotten, if you’re not careful.
For when you get there (your vacation)
- You’ll need any legal documents that are required for travelling (passports, etc)
- You’ll need transportation from the airport! You’d hate to get stuck at the airport. What fun is that?
- Do you have had all your shots? Do you need any?
- Have you learned the local laws? You better not plan on breaking any, then.
- Do you know the language? There’s still time to learn.
- What about currency exchange? You might need to know this!
For back home (who’s watching the homestead?)
- You don’t want to leave magazines, newspapers, or mail piling up. It gives thieves the wrong idea.
- Make sure that someone is planning on feeding the pets. (They will really appreciate it!)
- Don’t leave the water or gas running. Duh!
- Extinguish all candles. I mean it!
What other tips can you think of?
