August 19, 2006 – 7:59 am

The hotels and resorts in Mississippi are starting to reopen again after repairing damages from Hurricane Katrina.

Yesterday Harrah’s announced that the Grand Biloxi Hotel and Casino has reopened to the public and they’re taking reservations once again.

“Grand Biloxi’s opening marks the first phase of our exciting master plan on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” said Anthony Sanfilippo, president of Harrah’s Central Division. “The Grand is back with the kind of high-quality casino entertainment experience our customers have come to expect. We look forward to contributing to the restoration of the Gulf Coast’s tourism industry, and are excited to see our employees back at work.”

The Grand Biloxi has 800 slot machines, 28 gaming tables and 500 rooms for guests. You’ll find dining, entertainment and the Bellissimo Spa on premise.

It’s nice to hear that the Mississsippi area is making a comeback!
