Here’s the perfect excuse to head west to California.
The city of Palm Desert and Desert Spring Resort and Spa is working together to host a 4 day food and wine festival which takes place November 9, 2006 - November 12, 2006.
Visitors will get the chance to enjoy golf, educational seminars, music and live demonstrations.
The event opens with a dedication to the El Paseo Invitational Sculpture Exhibition, which features 18 peices of art in the El Paseo shopping district. The dedication will be followed with a
chocolate and champagne reception.
Friday features a golf tournament with wine and food tasting as you tee up, and the “Wine BBQ” where chefs can get behind the grill and cook up some mad eats. Later that evening the band Pink Martini will perform at the driving range at the Desert Willow Resort. It will be tranformed from a driving range into an entertainment center offering food, wine and just a good old time.
Saturday guests will enjoy educational seminars, art tours, fashion shows and live entertainment.
The last day of the festival concludes with a showcase of all partipating wineries and restaurants at Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa.
