For people who love to travel in style, Holland America has introduced or upgraded their popular Alaska tour coaches. This time they went for high-end luxury with 39 new coaches. The new coaches have the following features:

  • More legroom
  • Spiffy leather seats
  • An enriched narration program including topical handouts

Three new MCI LX coaches will join the fleet in 2007 and 36 existing vehicles will be retrofitted, updated and improved to the standards set by the new coaches, creating a new fleet. Seating on motor coaches operating on the Great Land and Direct-to-Denali tours will be reduced from 54 to 45, providing 50 percent additional legroom — equivalent to the legroom on a domestic first-class flight.

Holland America is one of the leading coach tour operators in Alaska. They place an emphasis on visual re-inforcement of their tours, and hand out the following:

  • 27 props
  • 29 topical handouts
  • 49 Highway Journals with full-color photos
