..to live..
Life isn’t something to take for granted.
That is why you should make the most out of every day you have.
One of the biggest problems people (in general) seem to have is never seeing outside of what I call, the “Box”.
When you live life in a “box” you never see what else your life might have to offer you. Everything you’re feeling or experiencing becomes your “reality” even though it isn’t real at all.
Your problems seem magnified only because they surround you.
I’m writing this because I just found out a childhood friend of mine hung himself last weekend. He’s in a coma now, but there’s no chance for him surviving.. they are going to run tests to see if they can donate his organs, and then they’re pulling the plug.
I can’t say that we’ve been close in the last decade, but it makes me mad.
His mom and my mom were best friends, and he was the first boy I ever kissed. I’m sure that the last thing his mom planned on doing this week was
burying her oldest son. He has kids, too..
I dragged out my old high school yearbook from ‘88 to show my husband a picture and eerily enough under his photo I wrote these words:
“Will he ever get his life straight?”
I guess now we have an answer..
It’s a bad story, and I think he was selfish for doing what he did.
There was no reason.. Maybe a vacation would’ve given him some insight or another point of view.
