If you are planning a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica here are 3 things you should be sure to do during your visit.
1. Visit the “HipStrip”. The “HipStrip” is located on Gloucester Avenue. This is the main road through Montego Bay, and you’ll find handcrafted pipes, wood sculptures, clothing, paintings and other wares from the people that live there. Always remember “Respect” and you’ll be “irie”.
2. Take a swim at Doctor’s Cave Beach. This is a public beach that’s open daily from 8:30 AM- 6:00 PM. They offer watersports, a food court, a Grill Bar and
Gift shop on premise. There is an admission charge for both children and adults. This beach is located on Gloucester, as well.
3. Great Rose Hall Plantation Home. This Plantation home is said to be haunted by its mistress, Annie Palmer. Your tour guide will tell the tale of the people that once lived there.. I know that when my husband and I went to the second floor of this great house, both of us caught our breath for a moment. Not to say it’s haunted, but there was a “feeling” there.
You can also find plenty of fishing, snorkeling, golf, beaches and sun anywhere in Montego Bay. It is a wonderful place to visit.. expect to leave with a little “ja” in your heart. We look forward to visiting again soon.
