If you are traveling with GPS, one valuable tip is to have an EXACT address if you want to get to your destination on time.

We learned this on our recent visit to Toronto.

There were a couple of places we wanted to visit, namely a historic church and the Toronto Zoo. Since Toronto is laid out in a grid, it meant that there are 2 sides to every street, and without having a complete address were directed to the wrong one. We were in residential areas that had nothing to do with the historic Church or the Toronto Zoo. A friendly elderly couple
that was out for an afternoon stroll confirmed that we were nowhere near
the Zoo, and had a laugh when we told them about the GPS getting us to the “right” street on the “wrong” side of town.

This lesson will be taken to heart prior to our next vacation. I’m going to get the right street addresses before we set out on a wild goose chase.
